Who we are.
Signal Bay Ltd, company number 17486350, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. We are the data controller for the information described here. Email thomas@signalbay.co.uk.
What we hold.
Your name and business email address.
Your brand and company name, and your company number.
The retailer product page links and search terms you give us, and the competitor brands you name.
The reports we have sent you and our correspondence with you.
Subscription and payment records. Stripe takes payments; we never see or hold your card details.
Before anyone becomes a subscriber we may hold business contact details published on a company’s own website or at Companies House, so that we can introduce the service.
Why we hold it, and our legal basis.
To produce and send the report you have paid for, and to deal with your queries — performance of our contract with you.
To take payment and keep accounting records — our legal obligations.
To introduce the service to UK businesses, and to keep a record of anyone who has asked not to be contacted — our legitimate interests in marketing a business service to other businesses. You can object at any time and we will stop.
Your product links are confidential.
The retailer pages you ask us to watch, the search terms you choose and the competitors you name are commercial information about your business. We do not share them with retailers, with other subscribers, or with anyone else.
Who else handles it.
Google Workspace (email and files), Stripe (payments), Tally (forms), Instantly (outreach), Framer (website). Each acts on our instructions. Some are based outside the UK, in which case the transfer is covered by the UK’s approved safeguards. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it.
While you are a subscriber, and then six years for tax and accounting. Contact details for businesses we have approached but not heard from: twelve months, then deleted. If you ask not to be contacted, we keep your email address on a suppression list indefinitely — that is the only way to make sure we do not write to you again.
Your rights.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it, or ask for it in portable form. Email thomas@signalbay.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
Complaints.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
