Terms of service
Last updated 4 October 2026. These terms are between Signal Bay Ltd (company number 17486350, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ) and the business that subscribes. By subscribing you accept them.
1. What you are buying
A weekly email report covering the products, competitors and retailers set out in your plan, showing what changed on the retailers’ websites in the past week — price, promotion, availability, competitor activity and search position. There is no dashboard, no login and no account to manage.
2. Your plan
Your plan sets how many of your own products we track, how many competitor products, and how many retailers. If you want more than your plan covers, move up a tier. We send the report weekly. We may miss or delay an edition occasionally; if we miss two consecutive weeks, tell us and that month is free.
3. Price and payment
Prices are shown on our website and are exclusive of VAT unless stated. Payment is monthly in advance by card through Stripe, on the same date each month. If a payment fails we will try again, and may pause the report until it clears. We may change the price with 30 days’ notice by email; the new price applies from your next billing date and you can cancel before then.
4. Cancelling
The subscription is monthly rolling. You can cancel at any time before your next billing date, by replying to any report or emailing thomas@signalbay.co.uk. Cancelling stops the next payment and the reports that would follow it. We do not refund part-months, and you keep the reports already sent.
5. Where the data comes from
Every figure is read from publicly visible retailer product and search pages at the time of the reading. We do not receive data from retailers, and we have no access to EPOS data, in-store prices, your sales data, or anything behind a login.
6. The limits of that
Retailer pages change, go missing, show different prices to different shoppers, and sometimes carry errors of their own. Our readings may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. A reading describes one page at one moment, nothing more. Where we cannot load a page we say so and mark it not reported, rather than reusing an older figure. Search positions depend on the search term, the sort order and whether a shopper is logged in or has set a postcode; we record those conditions and report movement rather than any absolute standing.
7. Information, not advice
The report states what the data shows. It is information and commercial opinion only. It is not legal, financial, professional or trading advice, and it contains no recommendation to take or not take any action. Any decision you make after reading it is yours, taken on your own judgement and at your own risk.
8. If we get something wrong
We store the exact URL, the timestamp to the minute, and the values captured for every reading. If you think something in a report is wrong, tell us within 30 days and we will reply within one working day with the raw reading. If the reading was wrong, that month is free. That is our remedy for an inaccurate reading.
9. Using the report
The report is for use inside your own business. You may share it with your staff and your professional advisers. You may not resell it, republish it, or pass it to a competitor or to a third party as a service. We keep copyright in the reports; the underlying facts are nobody’s property.
10. No guarantee of any outcome
We do not promise that the report will improve your sales, your ranking, your availability, your margin or your relationship with any retailer, and nothing we send is a forecast. We do not promise that a particular retailer, product or search term will be readable in any given week.
11. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of sales, loss of contracts, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss, however caused. You accept that this allocation of risk is reasonable given the price of the service and the nature of the information.
12. Suspending or ending the service
You can cancel at any time under clause 4. We can end a subscription on 30 days’ notice, refunding any period paid for and not delivered. We can suspend or end it immediately if you resell the reports, if a payment is not made, or if you behave abusively.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms with 30 days’ notice by email. If you do not accept the change, cancel before it takes effect.
14. General
These terms are the whole agreement between us. If a court finds any part unenforceable, the rest still applies. Nobody who is not a party to these terms can enforce them. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
